DHL Cargo Plane Overshoots Runway, Crashes into Ring Road in Italy

DHL Cargo Plane Accident
A cargo plane overshot the runway during landing on Friday and crashed into a ring road near Italy’s Bergamo airport, but there were no injuries.

A B737 400 coming from Paris and operated by DHL ran into problems at about 4 AM (0200 GMT), Italy’s Civil Aviation Authority (ENAC) said in a statement.
The pilot and co-pilot, the only people on board, were both unhurt, ENAC said.
The Orio al Serio airport, some 50KM North-East of Milan and used by low-cost passenger airlines, was closed until shortly before 7AM.
However, a couple of hours later traffic was still disrupted, with departures delayed.
Italy’s National Agency for Flight Security (ANSV) said in a statement that it sent a team to the site of the accident to investigate.
I reported that the plane was “seriously damaged”.
